Hands-On: The Everlane Weekender Bag

Beautifully designed and universal in use, Everlane’s Suede Weekender is a perfect travel companion. The leather straps on this bag are one length, and wear comfortably over the shoulder or held in the hand. The stitching in igh-stress areas leads me to believe this bag will last for some time.

The water-resistant suede exterior is very handsome in the brown color. The khaki twill lining is almost unnerving in its softness. Also, there’s a very sensible zipped interior pocket where you can keep sundry items.

I used this bag over the holidays and I must say it performed superbly. The bag fit in the overhead compartment when I took a flight. As well, it was nice just to throw this into the trunk of the car and take off. It’s big enough to comfortably fit a half week’s worth of clothes and two pairs of shoes. But ultimately, I think it’s best for a weekend getaway.

Everlane itself is a very interesting company. Part manufacturer, part retailer, the company cuts out the middle man and sells directly to the consumer. This results in offering high quality goods at affordable prices.

All in all, I would highly recommend this weekender bag. It’s stylish, sleek, and ultimately designed towards people and the reality in which they live.
